Thule Epos 3 Bike Rack

Thule has taken everything they've learned over decades of building bike carriers and rolled it all into this brilliant tow ball mounted rack.

The Epos features a minimal design with nothing you don't need and everything you want in a bike carrier. It folds up to a very small package for storage, yet has a huge 30kg per bike carrying capacity, making it suitable for heavier electric bikes.

The Epos accommodates a broad range of bicycles due to its versatile securing system. An adjustable grab arm which can grip onto either the frame of your bike or the wheel, making it ideal for carbon frame bikes. This arm can grip onto frames from 22mm up to 90mm in diameter.

The Epos can carry bikes up to 29-inch wheels, with a wheelbase of up to 1350mm. This makes it one of the most versatile bike carrier we've seen in terms of the range of bike sizes and types it can carry. One type of bike it can't carry as standard are fat bikes as it has a 3-inch max tire width. This can be overcome through the use of Thule's XXL wheel straps, which bring that limit up to 4.7-inches.

To ensure limited bike to bike interference, the Epos allows a full 25cm of distance between your bikes.

Like all the best bike racks around, the Epos can tilt to allow full access to the rear of your vehicle, even with bikes loaded, and the mechanism is easy to use.

As is standard with Thule products this carrier is built to last, with high quality materials and coatings all round. This means that it's not a super light carrier at 22.7kg but also not extremely heavy either. Still this weight will mean some users will need a hand when removing or installing the rack onto your tow ball. For more information about fitting the Epos please refer to the instructions below.

The Epos has a full width integrated tail lights and number plate holder. It comes almost fully assembled and includes locks for both the bikes and the carrier itself.
