Single Trail is a new brand of Australian made hitch mounted bike racks from long established industrial equipment makers Currie Engineering, and they're among the best built we've ever seen.

Designed for both on and off-road use, they use high grade steel for their carriers which is powdercoated in black to ensure an amazing lifespan with great scratch resistance even under the most extreme conditions, plus it has near perfect welds all around. Their design brief revolves around speed and ease of use, care for your bikes, simplicity, plus the strength and longevity of their products. They also integrate everything on these carriers, so there are no fiddly little pieces to assemble.

Single Trail bike carriers come in multiple sizes, with 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 bike carriers available and a tilting mechanism built-in as standard so you can access your vehicle's rear, although you can also opt for a fixed design. All offer a hitch mounted arrangement which will fit 50mm hitch receivers. The capacity options of these carriers make them a great option for anyone, from a single person to a big family or someone who loves going biking with a group of friends. Another feature which we love is the weight capacity, each cradle can take a hefty 25kg, making it suitable for most e-bikes out there.

Featuring a vertical carrying system whereby your bikes are fixed via the front wheel the Single Trail design offers some great advantages. First is ease of use, you simply lift your front wheel into the cradle then use the integrated marine-grade rope to strap to the pedal and you're done. This design also cares for your bike's frame, with no frame contact with either the bike carrier or the other bikes you may be carrying on the Single Trail. Another great advantage of this system is that it allows for maximum carrying capacity without undue stress on your towing hitch.

The only notable compromise with this layout is the need to lift your bike into the cradles, this takes some strength and some users may find it a little bit tricky to do on their own.

The Single Trail allows flexibility in the size of bikes you can carry, you can mount any bike with wheel sizes between 24in and 29in and up to 3in wide tires as standard.

One of the most noticeable features of the Single Trail bike carriers is the hitch attachment design, a heavy-duty unit that also features an anti-wobble design built-in. This allows you to tighten up the system after loading by turning a single bolt to give you absolutely no wiggle in your hitch receiver, even on rough roads. It also allows adjustability in terms of the position of the carrier so it'll suit a wider range of vehicles.

Another great feature is the redesigned EZ Load tilting pivot which provides access to your boot or tray and easily fits a range of vehicles. As it's an extremely important part of the carrier, Single Trail has gone to extraordinary lengths to strength test their new design and it passed with flying colours. This self-locking pivot is an innovative tool-free system that is unlocked by foot. Tilt your vertical rack away from your boot or tray whilst still mounted to your 50mm trailer hitch. The EZ Load pivot is an integrated feature of all RFS tilting racks, making it easy to get into your boot without the need to undo any bolts or pins.

There is also an optional Garage Stand available which converts your Single Trail bike carrier into a great bike storage solution for home.
