Yakima FullTilt 5 Bike Rack

This is one of our more popular tilting hitch-mounted bike carrier for good reason. Featuring tool free fitting, integrated locks, tilt-down mechanism, and one of the easiest systems for securing your bikes available, plus it's covered by a lifetime warranty.

The FullTilt comes fully assembled out of the box and no tools are required for assembly or fitting. For more installation information please refer to the instructions below.

Yakima’s ‘AutoPin’ automatically positions and secures the rack into the correct position in the hitch, and the ‘SpeedKnob’ quickly and easily tightens the FullTilt into place. You can watch the video at the bottom of this page to see it in action.

Your bikes are secured via Yakima’s ‘ZipStrips’ which simply push down into place, so there’s no struggling with awkward securing mechanisms as seen in some competing carriers.

While it fits 2 inch/50mm receivers as standard it can also be adapted to fit 1 ¼ inch/32mm receivers. It can take up to five bikes and weighs in at 18.5kgs.

The price point of the FullTilt is also a factor in making it so popular, you get an quality bike carrier for 5 bikes with a host of brilliant features, at a price which won’t make your eyes water. Furthermore, this carrier is compatible with an enormous range of vehicles, check to see if it will fit yours using Yakima's hitch carrier compatibility guide below.

The downsides are the inability to tilt the carrier while loaded with bikes, the fact it doesn’t have a swing-out feature as standard, and that it isn't ideal for carbon frame bikes and will mark the finish on normal bikes too. Another drawback is that you will require the Yakima TubeTop to fit some bikes on this carrier. For many people these factors aren’t a big issue though, making it a great option for these folks. However, we recommend tray style carriers to provide ultimate safety for your bikes, easier loading, and easier fitting of a broader range of bike varieties.

If you’d like to learn more about the FullTilt you can contact us anytime for more information.

At Roof Rack Store we recommend the use of a lightboard for additional safety and legal compliance.

Nice rack. It is hard to get five full size bikes on, but it can be done with some care and perspicacity. Kid's bikes will need an adapter bar. Easy to attach the bikes on and the tilt works well.
