Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack - Black

Thule's newest version of the evergreen T2 Pro has addressed one of the very few downsides of the T2 with the inclusion of wheels for easy maneuvering, installation and removal of the rack, plus it comes in a great looking black finish.

This new model retains all of the great features and amazing build quality which made the previous T2 Pro model an award winning product. The Thule brand is synonymous with quality and durability, and their customers are loyal for good reason.

The first thing to note is that this carrier will fit only 50mm (2inch) tow hitch receivers. So unfortunately, if you have a different sized receiver you will have to choose another model.

Featuring tool free installation with the AutoAttach system, a proven design that makes fitting the carrier a breeze. It also has a lock built into this system to make sure no one can steal your gear. Further to this, each bike can be locked to the carrier with integrated cable and lock knob, adding to your peace of mind.

As with most new hitch-mount carrier designs, the T2 pro XTR folds when not in use, so it won't hang out too far from the back of your vehicle when you choose to keep it mounted, and reduces the space needed when in storage.

The main improvement is in the integrated wheels on the XTR for easy maneuvering when removed. At 23.6kg it's not a lightweight due to having strengthened components, a trade off that we're happy to bear. The addition of wheels is a godsend for this carrier, making it so much easier to install, remove and transport.

The brilliant HitchSwitch lever allows the carrier to tilt easily, giving ample access to the rear of your vehicle, a must for any modern rear mounted carrier. The T2 Pro XTR also allows easy side to side bike distance adjustment, with a maximum allowable distance between bikes of 32cm, enough for almost any type of bike. Carrying on in this spirit, the carrier can mount a broad range of bike types and sizes, with adjustability to fit 20inch to 29inch diameter wheels, and tires up to 5inches wide, without the need for any additional adapters or straps.

The way that the carrier secures the bikes is with a frame-free ratcheting arm, this means there is no contact with the bike frame, so you never have to worry about damage to a carbon bike, unless you get rear-ended by a careless driver on the road.
